Minolta Auto Meter II Incident Light-Meter Review Video

Posted by Rob_Nunn under: reviews.

Another car-boot bargain, this time an old Minolta light-meter, the Auto Meter II.

The Minolta Auto-Meter II is an incident light-meter. This means that you use it to measure the light falling on your subject, rather than the light reflected from it. So if you were taking a photo of a flower, you’d put the light-meter up near the flower, pointing towards the camera, then take your reading.

The idea is that you can get a very accurate exposure reading with this method, and comes in really handy, especially with people photography. So if you see one of these beauties going for a song second-hand, make sure you snap it up and give it a home!

Cheers, Rob.
