Jelly Bean Gives The GNex Wind, Sorry, Wings

I was browsing the web on my Galaxy Nexus phone on Wednesday night when a dialogue box popped up telling me a system update was available.
After a couple of minutes the phone rebooted itself and after a brief introduction to the new Google Now app, everything went back to looking suspiciously similair. Until I started to use the phone...
If you'd asked me if the GNex was slow, I would have said no. Ok, the soft button that brings up the open apps was a little laggy, but everything else seemed snappy enough. The screen scrolled around ok, and apps started up fine enough. The Jelly Bean update changes all this.
The GNex is now fast. Damn fast. The whole operating system now flies along. The more I use it the more I'm impressed - everything is now so snappy I can't believe I thought it was OK before, and you won't until your phone gets the Android 4.1 Update.
Google have put in an awful lot of work to speed things up, and it shows. Of course, there's plenty of other goodies bundled with the Jelly Bean update, but I'm more than happy with what I've discovered so far - a faster, smarter phone.
Thanks, Rob.
