Turning An Old Tripod Into An Flash Umbrella Stand

This is probably the cheapest way to turn your old tripods into useful light-stands, all you need are the shown umbrella brackets and a shoot-through umbrella (very cheap on eBay). A simpler (but slightly more expensive) method is to buy spigot adapters that attach to the tripod thread and allow your umbrella bracket to be directly attached to the plate of the tripod. I'll be getting some of these soon, so watch this space for another video.
