Hi Rob,
Loved the podcast , and am now envious and cant wait to upgrade from my T-mobile G1 (the first android phone) to the Desire, i am with you on the battery life however ,not brilliant, you should see the work around the G1 had , a large capacity battery that extended the thickness of the phone so much it resembled a door stopper!!!.
What with audio recording ,blogging and google latitude you could well be doing `live` photowalks before you know it .
By the way if you enjoy Dreamcatcher you might want to look at one of Stephen kings more recent books `Cell` . . . you may never look at mobile phones in the same way again !!!....also funny hearing you tell us of your leaky tap ,as my job is that of a sort of over the phone plumber !!!
Kind Regards,
Matt
P.s - good look with kicking the ciggies , im starting to do the sums on how fast i could save up for a new lens if im not buying a packet at a fiver a pop........
Hi Matt,
Yeah, the Desire is a wicked phone, I'm pleased you enjoyed the podcast, what I really like is the seamless integration with the net. I'm writing this reply via the Wordpress app, and it is very cool indeed.
As Android develops we should get better integration with Google apps, leike docs, and more powerful photo processing software.
Thanks for the suggestion, I read Cell last year, it was excellent, we just need a sequel to find out what happened next!
Thanks again, Rob.
Rob, shooting with a phone is lots of fun. I use my slr a LOT, but I have the most fun shooting with my IPhone. I find that it really helps with making my photography a lot more creative. I have a great time shooting with it.
Hi Clint,
You're so right, I've only started to scratch the surface of what I could do with the Desire.
Next I'm going to play around with the third party camera apps, its going to be fun choosing a style (polaroid, cross process, pin-hole, etc) before I press the shutter, the total reverse to what I do at the moment.
Cheers, Rob.
The apps are great, Rob. For my IPhone, I use cinemafx, plus a few other ones. My favorite, which I'm sure is also available for your phone, is the toy camera app.
