Martin Baileys Lensbaby Composer Review

Top Podcaster and Photogrpaher Martin Bailey has had his Lensbaby for a few weeks now, and he's posted a review on his site.

What surprised Martin (and me) is how sharp he found the Composer to be when used with the double glass optic - up there with Canon L Glass Lenses, which is amazing for a piece of kit at this price.

Anyway, check out the full Lensbaby Composer Review at Martins Blog.

I can't wait to get mine!

Cheers, Rob.

Hi Rob,
Think i am looking forward to your review more than you are looking forward to recieving it , i have been leaning more and more towards this (looking at pics on flickr) , but do i go for a lens baby , or a new Nikkor lens!?!?!?!?! (as you well know , i think it took all of two days of owning my d60 before `lens envy` set in..... )

Regards
Matt

Not having a dSLR yet, I can't say I have "Lens Envy", I do however have a camera envy.

I am leaning toward the 400d, or (budget permitting) a 40d. Think then, the lens envy will set in.

I am looking forward to you receiving your lens-baby and then reading your review. Will check out Martin's review when I get a few minutes this evening. no doubt the dreaded toothache will keep me awake for another night, so I will need something to take my mind off of it. I hate toothache, and I am using about as much Clove Oil as I am coffee! - Must get to the dentist!

Hi Guys!

Matt, I think Nikon have a DX spec 35mm Lens, with built in AF that looks wicked - F1.8 as well, that would be my first choice! (Similair to a Nifty 50mm on a 35mm Film SLR).

Sorry to hear about your tooth Ben, the 400d or 40d will be great cameras and a good choice.

Cheers, Rob.

Hi Rob ,
Yo read my mind on that 35mm vr lens , it was one of the first (and cheapest) i looked at as my 2nd lens!!! It has a number of v.positive reviews considering its low cost ...(lol, low cost! , funny when you own a Dslr...... £180 is considered cheap!!!! my Fuji cost less!!!!)
