Portchester Castle, Main Gate



I've uploaded a few more shots from Sundays photo-walk around Portchester Castle, but this has to be one of my favourites.



It's actually a HDR created from three exposures and processed through Photomatix. The cyclist starts off where you see him here, then progressed across the frame as my 350d / Rebel XT took an over and under-exposed shot, yet Photomatix sorted all this out and created an acceptable image.



It's not the HDR that I find interesting (although it does add a lot of detail), its the fact that I got a real person in the shot....
