Hiya Rob,
Great podcast, can't believe it's 52! Doesn't seem like over a year ago either.
Nice to hear you grabbed yourself a decent tripod, those completely mobile legs are going to come in handy when you encounter some rough ground and want the camera straight. Can't believe you complained about the price and then went on to explain what you got! A decent tripod and bag, a smaller tripod AND a monopod and bag, think you got quite a bargain there. Be nice to see you lugging around that new tripod and using it to full advantage, you'd be surprised why you didn't before and start becoming prepared to carry it. (I lug my old Velbon Sherpa around all the time now and it needs a Sherpa team to carry it!)
Really good of you to be giving away some 'prizes', you'd be surprised of how a simple gesture can carry someone on a very long way, (like the lady that put the two shillings in that machine for me!) As I have more than enough film and cameras filling my darkroom, bedroom, spare room, loft etc! I won't be putting my name forward and rather someone else gets a better chance.
Looking forward to posting some stuff to your Flickr group, started looking back at where I live and realising the missed opportunities as well as your 'finished article' post. Be good to put in some practice by following your other photographic possibility suggestions too.
Congratulations on the 52nd podcast again Rob and look forward to congratulating you on the 104th!
All the best,
Victor
Hi Rob ,
Congrats on the anniversary , i cant wait to see pictures of the new tripod doing the splits!. I started listening to the casts quite late on so am still catching up on your earlier ones . you have been a great inspiration to me, ( im even thinking of trying my hand at this website , podcast, blogging job myself , but sticking to mainly film or `the old ways`), like victor i look forward to listening to the cast and enjoying your take on photography for a long time come.
You mention the journey you have taken , and i now chuckle when i think of how a few months ago , we were nervously left wondering whether the cast would continue , But here you are , and here to stay !!
All the best and keep up the excellent work .
Regards
Matt
Hi Matt,
Go for it with the Blog / Podcast, it's very rewarding, but it can be difficult finding time to fit everything in.
I'm glad I kept the Podcast going, and even gladder I've got you guys along for the ride!
Cheers, Rob.
Great milestone to hit. Too many podcasts, especially about photography, have come and gone without reaching their full potential. You sir, are doing an excelent job.
Have fun with the Giveaway!
Damien Franco
Hi Damien!
Thanks for your kind words - I have to say that your site "Your Photo Tips" was, and is, a great inspiration to me.
Thanks, Rob.
Hello,
52 Podcasts? I'll be honest, I have only started listening in the last few months, and they are of a great help. It is nice to have an insight into your personal journey.
I like looking for bargains at the car boot, unfortunatley, the car boots round this way are only good for old power tools and such. Only ever seen a few cameras at them, and they were old 110 film cameras.
Your tripod seems like a great find, and sounds like a bit of a beast too. Bet you were please with it, but then to discover the second tripod, and the monopod in there too - Bargain!
Looking forward to hearing more podcasts from you.
Best of luck with it all!
Ben
Hi Ben,
Well, you're now in the hat for a free film camera!
Cheers, Rob.
