Do Dragonflys Growl? - Macro

Say "Cheese"(Click on the picture to see the larger sizes on Flickr.) Inspired by a recent discussion in the Fujifilm S5700 group on Flickr, when I saw this little chap perched on the edge of our paddling pool, I grabbed my camera, put it into Super Macro Mode and started snapping away.

He (or she) kept flitting away, but always came back to the edge of the pool. The biggest challenge was to stop me or my cameras shadow falling on the subject insect, I took about twenty shots in all, and this was the best. I've cropped it, added a little colour and sharpness, but I think it's another case of take enough frames and eventually you'll get lucky.

Cheers, Rob.
