Introduction To Photoshop Elements 6 Photo Editing Software

Photoshop Elements 6On the list of essentials for any new Photographer should be batteries, memory, bag, tripod and some good photo-editing software.

I've put together a little video just going through some of the basic photo-editing features of Adobe Photoshop Elements, the reasons why you need it now!

First up though, my apologies for my cold, and the way that that my voice strangely changes pitch half-way through.....

I got a bit confused near the end when I was sharpening the photo with a high-pass filter. What I should have done was not changed the blend mode of the grey layer, but clicked the on the foreground colour in the tool bar, used the colour picker to select neutral grey from the layer, then painted out the areas around the grass. Its a lot easier than it reads.

Anyway, I hope I've convinced you to have a go with some software that can do local editing, so why not head over to Adobe and try the Elements Free 30 Dial Trial?

Cheers, Rob.
