Photowalk 52: Fort Brockhurst

DSCF5800Catch up time on the Blog, these are a few pics I took on a nice Sunny day last week - Polarizer weather!

This one was a bit of a quick dash around the Fort - I didn't have much time, but when I saw the lovely blue sky I just had to see what it would be like.

Clear skies coupled with a low Sun makes for interesting shadows, and vibrant colours.

I couldn't get the symmetry right with this one - a tree was in the way, but the reflection and shadow are still quite pleasing.

Here we can see the real power of the Polarizer on a Sunny, calm day, maximising the colours and making everything "pop" a little more than usual.

I've revisited the Fort many, many times over the last few months. With the ever changing light, seasons and wild-life it's a great location about five minutes from my front door - but it's best to visit early morning, when the light is good and the moat calm for lovely reflections.

Cheers, Rob.

Hi Shade,

All of the photo's are taken with my S5700 / S700, glad you like them.

Just take your time to read the cameras manual, then concentrate on composition and try and take photographs when the light's good - early morning / evening. (Oh, and a little bit of post processing helps too! ;-)

Cheers, Rob.
