Down To The Harbour...

Harbour At DawnI had the car this morning, so I dropped my better half off at work and I headed to Portsmouth Harbour to see what the light would be like. Although I had missed the pre-dawn glow, and there weren't many interesting clouds around, I grabbed a few shots.

Harbour At Dawn

This was another one of those "I've got to get out with my camera" type mornings - it didn't matter what I was going to photograph, the whole point was just get out there, start looking, composing and shooting.

Sometimes I feel like I'm really scouting out locations, ready for the day when the sky and light is perfect, and these are just test shots...

Post processing was the usual levels / hue / levels adjustment layers, with a play with blend modes in Photoshop Elements for the dawn shots.

I've been back to this Church twice now - I just need a morning / evening when there's some nice dramatic clouds behind the clock-tower...

Hope you've had a good week-end shooting,

Cheers, Rob.
